Are you entirely student-run?
Yes! Bay Area Zeta Players is entirely run by high school students, and middle school students who are part of our mentee program. Theatrical communities are hugely interdependent -we do work with adults to coordinate rehearsal and performance venues, etc., as well as communicating with our fiscal sponsor, Media Alliance.
What's up with your website?
We are in the process of publishing a new, more up to date website. In the meantime, this website has loads of info about past seasons... However, during the 2018-19 season, email and instagram are our main outlets for communication. You can find these on our Contact Us page. Thanks for your patience, and please do send us an email with any questions.
Where are you based?
BAZP is based in the East Bay. We do not have our own performance or rehearsal venues, rather, we share spaces with local companies season-to-season (yay community partners!). We've rehearsed and performed in La Val's Pizzeria Theater, the Flight Deck, Shotgun Studios, and Live Oak Theater, to name a few.
How can I support the company?
Coming to and participating in our shows is the best way to support. You can also donate to the online Indiegogo campaign we set up for each production, as well as come to our regular fundraisers, like open mic nights and our annual gala.
I'm in middle school. Can I join?
Look out for our annual mentee applications! You can read about the mentee program on the Mentees page under More. The people who see our shows are the most important members of our community, so come see them and get in touch with us! Please take a look at our frequently asked questions, below.
