Are you entirely student-run?
Yes! Bay Area Zeta Players is entirely run by high school students. We host a few younger mentees each season, too. Our Bay Area theatre community is interconnected -we do work with adults to coordinate rehearsal and performance venues, etc., as well as communicating with our fiscal sponsor, Media Alliance.
What's up with your website?
Our website is sort of under construction. In the meantime, this website has loads of info about past seasons... During the 2018-19 season, email and instagram are our main outlets for communication. Contact us, here! Thanks for your patience, and please do send us an email with any questions.
Where are you based?
BAZP is based in the East Bay. We do not have our own performance or rehearsal venues. Rather, we share spaces with local companies season-to-season (yay community partners!). We've rehearsed and performed in La Val's Pizzeria Theater, the Flight Deck, Shotgun Studios, and Live Oak Theater, to name a few.
How can I support the company?
Coming to and participating in our shows is the best way to support the work we do! You can also donate to the online Indiegogo campaign we set up for each production, as well as come to our regular fundraisers, like open mic nights and our annual gala.
I'm in middle school. Can I join?
Members of Bay Area Zeta Players are generally in high school, or high-school aged. If you are in 8th or 9th grade, look out for our annual mentee applications!
